Project Brief

Having to change interior space takes a lot of time, money, and consideration. Therefore, people would go to a specialist company to do an interior makeover. However, often people were mainly disappointed in the level of construction that was not worth the estimate and time. Everyone wants to get better quality results at a lower cost.

The project was started with the slogan, "Everyone can do interior construction" with the inspiration of "We can do it together" as the spirit of Saemaul Movement in the 1970s in Korea. It is the core of this project to provide affordable, accessible, and friendly service.

Just like catchy slogans or simple layouts in ads, our project focuses on delivering value, making things easy, and creating a sense of community.

Problem Overview

Many people who want to decorate their indoor spaces struggle because they don't have professional knowledge about interior construction. This makes it hard for them to figure out what's a reasonable cost or find the right professionals for the job.

Roles and Responsibilities

In my role as the main visual designer for this project, I took on the task of crafting step-by-step user-friendly interfaces and features. The objective was to encourage users to progress through what could potentially be a lengthy process, leading them to their final screen. I opted for a cohesive design approach, utilizing simple iconographic and prioritizing concise copy information to alleviate visual fatigue, particularly for users engaging in extensive reading.

Self04 caters to individuals who aspire to personalize and design their homes and spaces, collaborating with a collective of skilled professionals. This platform serves as the nexus where their creative visions seamlessly transform into tangible realities with the guidance of experienced experts.

Scopes and Constraints

On the Self04 platform, users can select interior materials that fit their budget and style. With certified designers and engineers, they can effortlessly create a fantastic space at a reasonable cost. "Thrive in your one-of-a-kind space while spending less."
